Volleyball Game Preview: Ferndale Wildcats vs. Hoopa Valley Warriors + How To Watch

The Ferndale Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Hoopa Valley Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Ferndale is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Bernard's just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Crusaders, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-21, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Hoopa Valley came into Tuesday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against South Fork by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

The win didn't come easy: South Fork scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-21, 23-25, 25-21.

Hoopa Valley's win came from a few key players Ferndale will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Vuunsip E-Kor, who had 17 digs, 14 kills, and two aces. Those 14 kills gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Naress Crawford, who had 12 digs and five aces.

Ferndale's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Hoopa Valley, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-20-1.

Everything went Ferndale's way against Hoopa Valley when the teams last played last Tuesday, as Ferndale made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
