Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Saugus

Saugus waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Canyon Cowboys. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-19, 25-17.

Leading Saugus to victory were Bailey Posey and Emily Tran. Posey had 22 assists and nine digs, while Tran had 17 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Posey has posted since September 3rd.

Saugus' win bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Canyon, they moved to 14-17 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Saugus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Granada Hills Charter on the 26th. As for Canyon, they will take on Valencia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Vikings have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
