Baseball Recap: LaVergne Takes a Loss

LaVergne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-1 to the Warren County Pioneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

LaVergne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jay Jerome, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

LaVergne now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Warren County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.

While LaVergne had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
