Soccer Recap: Asheboro Hybrid Academy Takes a Loss

After soaring to nine goals the game before, Asheboro Hybrid Academy was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They fell just short of the Union Grove Christian Patriots by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Union Grove Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 on Tuesday.

Asheboro Hybrid Academy's goal came courtesy of McKenna Voncannon, who's now up to 42 this season.

Asheboro Hybrid Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Union Grove Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Asheboro Hybrid Academy will head out to take on New Manna Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union Grove Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Liberty Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
