Catholic Central came tearing into Wednesday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the NorthPointe Christian Mustangs by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Evy Koops paced Catholic Central's offense, picking up ten kills. Koops got some help from Cece Rybicki and her 19 assists. Koops was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Catholic Central's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for NorthPointe Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Catholic Central will square off against Grandville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for NorthPointe Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Kelloggsville at 7:00 p.m. on September 4.
