Softball Recap: Camden Hills Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Camden Hills won against Mt. Blue on Tuesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. Everything went the Windjammers' way against the Brunswick Dragons as they made off with a 9-1 win. With that victory, the Windjammers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Charlotte McGreevy made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Thea Laukka was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played. Maya Stone was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Camden Hills' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Brunswick, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.
