Volleyball Recap: Winner Warriors vs. Gregory Gorillas
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mobridge-Pollock, Winner was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Gregory Gorillas as the Winner Warriors made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.
The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-10, 25-12.
Leading Winner to victory were Alice Wilson and Cora Moss. Wilson had eight digs and two aces, while Moss had 11 digs. Moss is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last eight games she's played dating back to last season.
Winner's record is now 16-5. As for Gregory, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
Winner's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chamberlain at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gregory, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Platte/Geddes on the 10th.
