Baseball Recap: Osceola Sets Scoring Season-High Against Lake Buena Vista

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Osceola). They blew past the Lake Buena Vista Vipers 14-4 on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Alejandro Martinez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Jacob Ramos was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

The victory made it two in a row for Osceola and bumps their season record up to 4-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Lake Buena Vista, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osceola will venture away from home to square off against The First Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The First Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Osceola surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lake Buena Vista, they are taking a road trip to take on Trinity Prep at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Trinity Prep will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Lake Buena Vista surely won't give up without a fight.
