Preview: East Liverpool Potters vs. Oak Glen Golden Bears
East Liverpool is 0-10 against Oak Glen since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The East Liverpool Potters will be home for the holidays to greet the Oak Glen Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Saturday, East Liverpool took a serious blow against Crestview, falling 61-26. East Liverpool has struggled against Crestview recently, as their match on Saturday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Oak Glen was beaten by Steubenville 70-34 on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Oak Glen has scored all season.
East Liverpool's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Oak Glen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
Things could have been worse for East Liverpool, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 42-26 loss to Oak Glen when the teams last played back in February. Can East Liverpool avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
