Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Hug

Hug won the last time they faced Wooster, and Cori Carrier did her part to make sure it happened again. The Hug Hawks secured a 36-31 W over the Wooster Colts on Wednesday thanks in part to Carrier, who almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, nine boards, and nine steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Hug's points.

Another player making a difference was Taliyah Henderson, who posted five points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played.

The win (which was Hug's third in a row) raised their record to 6-5. As for Wooster, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hug will venture away from home to take on South Tahoe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wooster, they will head out on the road to square off against Truckee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
