Basketball Recap: Isaiah Johnson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Long Reach

It's playoff time, and Atholton had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Long Reach Lightning on Tuesday as the Atholton Raiders made off with a 61-40 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Raiders have posted against the Lightning since March 2, 2022.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Atholton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaiah Johnson, who went 5-for-7 en route to 16 points and five assists. The dominant performance also gave Johnson a new career-high in shooting accuracy (71%). Bryce Inabinet was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to 11 boards and three steals.

The win made it two in a row for Atholton and bumps their season record up to 13-9. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.5 points. As for Long Reach, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Atholton nor Long Reach have any future games scheduled.
