Softball Recap: East Duplin Comes Up Short

On Wednesday, the East Duplin Panthers didn't have quite enough to beat the West Carteret Patriots and fell 5-4. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Duplin now has a losing record of 1-2. As for West Carteret, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Duplin will square off against South Lenoir at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give South Lenoir their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for West Carteret, they will challenge Bear Grass Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Carteret is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
