Basketball Recap: Dunbar Takes a Loss

Dunbar was the 74-54 winner over Brooks when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dunbar Mightymen fell 56-48 to the Brooks Eagles on Tuesday.

Brooks was led to victory by Elijah Curl and Bryce Hayes. Curl made all 6 shots he took for 16 points and three blocks, while Hayes went 6 for 10 en route to 15 points. That's the most points Curl has posted since back in November of 2024. Macauri Sias was another key player, putting up ten points.

Dunbar's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Brooks, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

Dunbar has already played their next match (against Air Force Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Brooks will head out on the road to take on Woodlawn at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brooks is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.
