Basketball Recap: Metro-East Lutheran Knights vs. Maryville Christian Lions
The Metro-East Lutheran Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. Their tough 61-35 defeat to Maryville Christian might stick with them for a while. If Metro-East Lutheran was looking for revenge after losing 51-25 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Metro-East Lutheran lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Taylor Maack, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Emily Kober, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Metro-East Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Maryville Christian, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-20.
