Basketball Game Preview: Bentonville Tigers vs. Fayetteville Bulldogs

The Bentonville Tigers will head out to face off against the Fayetteville Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bentonville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.

Bentonville is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arkansas' top teams: Springdale, who was ranked seventh at the time (Bentonville was ranked 23rd). Bentonville snuck past Springdale with a 56-50 win on Tuesday.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Saturday. Fayetteville might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 69-64 to Springdale, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Fayetteville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bentonville pushed their record up to 17-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points over those games. As for Fayetteville, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

Everything went Bentonville's way against Fayetteville in their previous matchup back in January, as Bentonville made off with a 63-41 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bentonville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
