Cedar Creek had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They secured a 46-42 W over the Quitman Wolverines. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 45-21 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Cedar Creek's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Quitman, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
