Volleyball Recap: Regis Groff Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

It's playoff time, and Regis Groff had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Kennedy Commanders on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Fusion sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-8, 25-9.

Abem Tilahun paced Regis Groff's offense, picking up seven kills. Tilahun got some help from Taichi Royal and his 25 assists. Royal was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Regis Groff's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Kennedy, their defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 12-11.

Coincidentally, Regis Groff and Kennedy will both be playing Windsor Charter Academy the next time they take the court. The Commanders will head out to face the Firebirds at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Fusion will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
