Basketball Recap: Newfound Regional Takes a Loss

Newfound Regional lost against Berlin two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Newfound Regional Bears took a blow against the Berlin Mountaineers, falling 59-19. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newfound Regional's record now sits at 1-11. As for Berlin, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newfound Regional will host Belmont at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Newfound Regional is facing Belmont at the right time seeing as Belmont is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Berlin, they will square off against St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Thomas Aquinas knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Berlin likes a good challenge.
