Corner Canyon gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They blew past the Pleasant Grove Vikings 3-0. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Corner Canyon never let Pleasant Grove on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-22, 25-18.

Corner Canyon found their leader in sophomore Torri Hildebrandt, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Despite the loss, Pleasant Grove still got an impressive performance from Kaitlin Stadler, who had 12 digs and eight assists.

Coming up, Corner Canyon will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Westlake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pleasant Grove, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Faith Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
