Baseball Recap: Lake Station Edison Comes Up Short

After flying high against East Chicago Central on Thursday, Lake Station Edison came back down to earth. The Fighting Eagles came up short against the River Forest Ingots on Monday, falling 13-0. The loss continues a trend for the Fighting Eagles in their meetings with the Ingots: they've now lost three in a row.

Lake Station Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for River Forest, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-6.

Coincidentally, Lake Station Edison and River Forest will both be playing Westville the next time they take the field. The Ingots will host the Blackhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Fighting Eagles will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
