Northwest is 9-1 against Manchester since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Northwest Indians are taking a road trip to challenge the Manchester Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Saturday, Northwest was able to grind out a solid victory over East, taking the game 73-61. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Tigers are ranked 431st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Manchester posted their closest win since December 19, 2023 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 71-68 victory over Orrville. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Manchester's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Northwest, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.

Northwest was able to grind out a solid win over Manchester when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 78-65. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northwest since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
