Softball Recap: Tattnall Square Academy Trojans vs. George Walton Academy Bulldogs
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Tattnall Square Academy had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They skirted past the George Walton Academy Bulldogs 9-7. The Trojans are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight.
Callie Still spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits.
At the plate, Reese Covington was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Gradie Appling, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with a home run and three RBI.
