Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Westfield

Westfield extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Samantha Price. The Westfield Shamrocks walked away with a 48-40 victory over the Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans on Wednesday thanks in part to Price, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (five).

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Olivia Berzai, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 12 points and eight steals. Berzai is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Anna Caskey, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Westfield is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westfield will challenge Hamilton Heights at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they will take on Guerin Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
