Softball Recap: Mid-Carolina Rebels vs. Blythewood Bengals
After flying high against Abbeville last Monday, Mid-Carolina came back down to earth. The Mid-Carolina Rebels fell just short of the Blythewood Bengals by a score of 11-9 on Wednesday.
Symari Bowers and Malloree Grimsley stepped up to the plate in a big way. Bowers went 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Grimsley went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Raelyn Livingston, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Mid-Carolina's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Blythewood, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
