Football Recap: Hollidaysburg Skates Past Selinsgrove with Ease + How To Watch

Hollidaysburg had won four straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 8-0 to make it five. They claimed a resounding 42-14 win over the Selinsgrove Seals. Considering the Golden Tigers have won six games by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Cole Delattre was his usual excellent self, rushing for 205 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry, and also throwing for 123 yards and one TD. Those 205 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carter Muth, who rushed for 85 yards and one score on only 12 carries.

Hollidaysburg's run defense was locked in: Selinsgrove could only muster three yards per carry. The team can thank Josh Banks for the heroic effort on defense: he. Hollidaysburg didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.1.

Hollidaysburg's defense didn't let Rocco Amato, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. Joseph Richardson was especially locked on to Selinsgrove's QB and sacked him twice.

As for Selinsgrove, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 400th, while Hollidaysburg is ranked 27th).

Despite the loss, Selinsgrove still got an impressive performance from Brett Rice, who rushed for 84 yards and one touchdown. Rice really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hollidaysburg will square off against Williamsport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Tigers will be up against the Millionaires' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.13 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Selinsgrove, they will face off against Berwick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Seals will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven games.
