Softball Recap: Lincoln County Falcons vs. Stewarts Creek Red Hawks        
        
		
            
 After a string of three wins, Lincoln County's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They fell just short of the Stewarts Creek Red Hawks by a score of  7-5. Lincoln County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Stewarts Creek apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in March of 2020.
  Hallie Meeks made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Abby Flynt, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run.
 On Stewarts Creek's side,  Jadyn Brawley was a major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up  five earned runs off   nine  hits. Brawley has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Brawley was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  doubles.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Brooke Kemp, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run and three  RBI.  Tenayja Thomas was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-3.
 Lincoln County's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Stewarts Creek, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record  this season.
 Lincoln County will square off against McMinn County at 12:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Stewarts Creek, they are on the road again  on Tuesday to play Cookeville at 6:30  p.m.
