Alexander Mercurius turned in nothing short of a gem on Wednesday, striking out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with more than five strikeouts. This season, he has been strong no matter where he plays.
