Whitko had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 7-3 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Lewis Cass Kings with a sharp 10-3 win. Considering the Wildcats have won four games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Riley Harman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 14 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Whitko got a massive performance out of Chandler Cox, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Hunter Long was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Whitko always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive matches.
As for Lewis Cass, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-4. The loss continues a trend for them in their meetings with Whitko: they've now lost three in a row.
On Lewis Cass' side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Rowe, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.
Whitko wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Adams Central on the 2nd. As for Lewis Cass, they have also already played their next game, a 5-4 loss against Caston on the 1st.
