Basketball Game Preview: Colcord Hornets vs. Fairland Owls

The Colcord Hornets will challenge the Fairland Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colcord has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Colcord turned things around against Quapaw on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 55-24 victory over the Wildcats. That 31 point margin sets a new team best for the Hornets this season.

Central typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Fairland proved too difficult a challenge. They took down the Tigers 62-44.

Fairland's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Colcord, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.

Colcord came out on top in a nail-biter against Fairland in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, sneaking past 78-75. Does Colcord have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fairland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
