Rowynn McClure turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three hits surrendered on Wednesday. He struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He is becoming a predictor of Midway's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 4-2 (and 3-7 when he doesn't).

Even though McClure couldn't lead Midway over Greenback, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sadly, McClure's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Green Wave's four-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, McClure and the Green Wave surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Thursday's match.
