Basketball Recap: Kelvyn Park Comes Up Short

Kelvyn Park was the 63-52 winner over Phoenix Military when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Kelvyn Park Panthers were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 54-53 to the Phoenix Military Firebirds. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kelvyn Park's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Phoenix Military, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kelvyn Park will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chicago Collegiate at 4:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Phoenix Military will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Chicago Tech at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
