Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Road Christian Minutemen vs. Suburban Christian Crusaders

The Franklin Road Christian Minutemen will take on the Suburban Christian Crusaders at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin Road Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Last Friday, Franklin Road Christian made easy work of Pleasant View Christian and carried off a 60-38 victory. The Minutemen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Franklin Road Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lakelyn Dempsey led the charge by going 8 for 14 en route to 19 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. That's the most points Dempsey has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Dugger, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 boards.

Franklin Road Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 14 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Suburban Christian had to suffer through a 62-5 loss at the hands of Seven Oaks Classical.

Franklin Road Christian pushed their record up to 22-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.7 points. As for Suburban Christian, they now have a losing record at 0-1.
