Basketball Recap: Ruskin Takes a Loss

Ruskin suffered their biggest defeat since November 26, 2024 on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Truman Patriots 84-50. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Ruskin has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Truman, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Ruskin will head out to face off against Grandview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Truman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Raytown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Truman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
