Basketball Recap: Illinois Valley Comes Up Short

Illinois Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 52-42 to the Myrtle Point Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Bobcats are ranked 99th).

Illinois Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Myrtle Point, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Illinois Valley will head out to square off against Reedsport at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Myrtle Point, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Oakland at 6:00 p.m.
