Basketball Recap: Auburn Takes a Loss

Auburn suffered their biggest defeat since January 2nd on Friday. They took a blow against the George Wythe Maroons, falling 70-39. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Maroons: they've now lost five in a row.

Auburn's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for George Wythe, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Auburn will welcome Grayson County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for George Wythe, they and J.I. Burton will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
