Softball Recap: Lapeer Comes Up Short

The Lapeer Lightning didn't have quite enough to beat the Cass City Red Hawks on Tuesday and fell 15-14. The Lightning have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jadin Hill made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Breana Fantin, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.

Lapeer's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Cass City, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lapeer will take on Central at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cass City, they will challenge Reese at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
