Basketball Recap: Eight Straight Road Victories for Lakeside

Lakeside extended their postseason success on Friday against North Thurston. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-40 win over the North Thurston Rams. The victory was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on three straight.

Despite the loss, North Thurston still got an impressive performance from Shayla Cordis, who posted 15 points. The match was Cordis' seventh in a row with at least 15 points. Soraya Ogaldez was another key player, putting up nine points.

Lakeside pushed their record up to 25-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for North Thurston, their loss ended a 29-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 28-2.

Lakeside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-34 defeat against Central Valley on the 8th. As for North Thurston, they have also already played their next game, a 77-49 victory against Garfield on the 8th.
