Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Forbush's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

After only two runs in their last matchup, Forbush made sure to put some runs up on the board against Watauga on Wednesday. Forbush blew past Watauga 11-1. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Forbush has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. Watauga is on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Forbush Falcons duke it out with Surry Central Golden Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Watauga, they will face off against Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Freedom has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.31 runs per game on average), something Watauga will no doubt try to take advantage of.
