It was a good run, but Plainfield North unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Wheaton-Warrenville South by a score of 2-1. If Plainfield North was looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to Wheaton-Warrenville South when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Plainfield North sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 24-26, 25-21.

Plainfield North's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, they pushed their record up to 13-14 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Plainfield North will be playing in front of their home fans against Plainfield East at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, after both having extra time off, they and Lake Park will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
