Baseball Recap: East Ascension's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

East Ascension entered their tilt with Terrebonne on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Terrebonne Tigers by a score of 7-4. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 5-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Reed Truax made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hudson Browning, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Cort Romero, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

East Ascension was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in three consecutive games.
