Softball Recap: Bellevue West Takes a Loss

Bellevue West lost against Kearney back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds fell 11-8 to the Bearcats. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aubrey Busch made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaycee Woodard, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Bellevue West's loss dropped their record down to 9-21. As for Kearney, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-11 record this season.

Bellevue West has already played their next game, a 9-8 win against Grand Island on the 8th. As for Kearney, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Bellevue East on the 8th.
