Soccer Recap: Western Wayne Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Western Wayne has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dunmore Bucks. Western Wayne were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Dunmore earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Jacob Wells and Robbie Carrelle scored all three of Western Wayne's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Western Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Dunmore, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Western Wayne will face off against West Scranton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dunmore, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Dallas on the 11th.
