Basketball Game Preview: Cherokee Chiefs vs. Medford Cardinals

The Cherokee Chiefs will take on the Medford Cardinals at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Medford took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Cherokee, who comes in off a win.

Cherokee will head into Friday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 20-point drubbing they dealt Canton on Friday. Cherokee was the clear victor by a 46-26 margin over Canton. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Chiefs have posted since January 7th.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Medford duked it out withTimberlake on Saturday. Medford fell 55-43 to Timberlake.

Medford's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8. As for Cherokee, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-13 record this season.

Cherokee came up short against Medford in their previous meeting last Saturday, falling 39-27. Can Cherokee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
