Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Fairfax Christian's 12th in Last 14 Outings

Fairfax Christian had won five straight home games and Trey Fitch did his part to make it six on Friday. The Fairfax Christian Cardinals walked away with a 51-44 win over the Evergreen Christian Eagles with plenty of help from Fitch, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 40.8% three-point shooting accuracy.

Another player making a difference was Messiah Dixon, who posted ten points and three steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played.

Evergreen Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Jafet Valencia and Jackson Britt. Valencia dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds, while Britt scored seven points in addition to 14 boards and three steals. Valencia continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Fairfax Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.6 points over those games. Evergreen Christian's record is now 24-15.
