Baseball Recap: West Iredell Starts off Right with Win over Bunker Hill

West Iredell took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They skirted past the Bunker Hill Bears 13-11. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

X Glaspy was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Trae Clyburn was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

West Iredell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .485. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bunker Hill only posted a batting average of .312.

Bunker Hill dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, West Iredell will head out to challenge Asheboro at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bunker Hill, they will be playing at home against Patton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
