Softball Recap: Los Altos Comes Up Short

If Los Altos was feeling good fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Santa Clara on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Los Altos fell 8-5 to Everett Alvarez on Saturday. Los Altos was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Everett Alvarez apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2018.

Lila Neugebauer and Eliza Sewell stepped up to the plate in a big way. Neugebauer went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Sewell scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Sabrina Neal was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Los Altos fell to 2-1. As for Everett Alvarez, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Los Altos wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-4 win against North Monterey County on the 1st. As for Everett Alvarez, they have also already played their next match, an 8-3 loss against Santa Cruz on the 1st.
