Basketball Game Preview: Cascade Ramblers vs. Horseshoe Bend Mustangs

Cascade and Horseshoe Bend are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Cascade Ramblers will get right back to it and host the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cascade has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

On Monday, Cascade had just enough and edged Non Varsity Opponent out 31-28. That's two games straight that the Ramblers have won by exactly three points.

Meanwhile, Horseshoe Bend can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 29-21 victory over Notus.

Horseshoe Bend's win came from a few key players Cascade will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ashlyn Wolsleben, who posted six points and seven rebounds. London Parker was another key player, putting up four points and five steals.

Horseshoe Bend smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.

The win got Cascade back to even at 3-3. As for Horseshoe Bend, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Cascade was able to grind out a solid win over Horseshoe Bend when the teams last played back in January, winning 39-31. Will Cascade repeat their success, or does Horseshoe Bend have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
