Basketball Recap: Orange County Comes Up Short

Orange County suffered their biggest loss since January 22, 2024 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 65-35 loss at the hands of the Western Albemarle Warriors. The matchup marked the Fighting Hornets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Orange County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for Western Albemarle, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.

Orange County will face off against Fluvanna County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Orange County is facing Fluvanna County at the right time seeing as Fluvanna County is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Western Albemarle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monticello at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Western Albemarle knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Monticello likes a good challenge.
