Volleyball Recap: Kingwood Takes a Loss

Kingwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Royse City Bulldogs.

Alton Wascome paced Kingwood's offense, picking up 11 kills. Wascome got some help from Abigail Hartfiel and her 12 assists. Maggie Pugh controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Kingwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Royse City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Kingwood has already played their next matchup (against Concordia Lutheran), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Royse City, they will take on Grapevine at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
