Softball Recap: Moscow Bears vs. Lewiston Bengals
Moscow extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 3-15 in the process. They lost 23-5 to the Lewiston Bengals. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Bengals this season, with their most recent defeat being a 23-10 loss on Thursday.
Gabby Fleishman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaci Kiblen, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
As for Lewiston, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-10. 23 seems to be a good number for they as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
On Lewiston's side, they got a massive performance out of Mayonna Miller, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs Miller has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shelby Arellano, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Moscow is set to face off against their familiar foe Lakeland at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lewiston will take on rival Sandpoint at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
